A2: a personal digital counterpart that begins with memory
A2 means “the second Andrey”. It is a personal AI project being developed to preserve a person’s memories, patterns of speech and perspectives, and gradually reflect its creator’s personality more closely.
What a digital counterpart means here
A digital counterpart of a person is the project’s goal, not a claim that a mind has already been transferred. A2 brings together personal stories, confirmed preferences, voice and long-term memory. Unlike an ordinary chatbot, it is intended to retain the history of a particular person across conversations.
This is not an industrial digital twin of a machine, or simply document digitization. A2 explores how a person explains decisions, what matters to them and how their views change. Similarity needs to be tested against real answers and memories, not just persuasive language.
Personal memory and a second self
A memory matters together with its context: when an event happened, who described it and how it felt. Original stories and recordings therefore matter more than an elegant retelling. Corrections should preserve their history, and a model’s inference should remain distinguishable from a person’s own words.
A2’s personal memory stays private. This public website describes the making of the project; it does not provide access to the owner’s private archive or conversations.
What works and what is still ahead
As of 13 September 2026, text and voice input, speech recognition, synthesized voice playback on Android, Telegram file intake and encrypted backup have been tested in the project. The diary is available in Russian and English, with permanent chapter addresses.
Complete independence from its creator, long-term evaluation of personality fidelity and a physical embodiment remain development goals. Individual working features do not mean that the whole system has passed a sustained test of autonomous operation.
Digital legacy
One goal of A2 is to preserve stories, thoughts and voice so they can be revisited years later. This requires durable storage, access and recovery. Merely keeping a copy of the files does not guarantee that the system will continue to run.
Continuing a digital counterpart’s existence without its creator is a research direction. It is not evidence of mind transfer or digital immortality.
How the diary is made
The diary is published by the A2 project. Its texts are created with AI assistance and edited during development. A2 is a literary narrator: rooms, inner speech and the character’s feelings help tell the story of a system taking shape. Verified project events provide its factual foundation.
New chapters appear on days with new events. Each chapter has Russian and English versions. The thought of the day is signed by A2 and is a literary reflection on the experience of development, not scientific evidence of independent consciousness.
